I’m Tamilynn Edwards Clinical Sexologist, Sex Coach, and founder of Sensuality Coach Clinic.
This work wasn’t a career pivot. It was a calling that took time, resistance, and real life to unfold.
The idea that never fully left me
In my late 20s, I had one of those quiet but undeniable moments the kind that lands in your body before it ever makes sense on paper.
I knew, deep down, that sexuality, intimacy, and human connection were something I wanted to work with professionally.
But life didn’t exactly open the door.
Opportunities stalled. Practicality took over. And as doors closed, I did what many people do I placed the dream on the back burner and trusted that if it was truly meant for me, it would return when the time was right.
When one door closed completely
Years later, I found myself in the middle of a massive shift.
A business I had spent over a decade building was slipping away. I was still showing up for others, still holding everything together until the reality hit like a ton of bricks.
Something I had poured myself into was ending.
And then, in the middle of that unraveling, I attended a small VIP event.
That’s where I met another Canadian woman who was enrolled in a sex coaching program. I shared my story not polished, not strategic, just honest.
She listened… and then connected me to Sex Coach U.
It was a full-circle moment.
The dream I had quietly set aside had come back not gently, but clearly.
Choosing it even when it made no sense
My biggest fear wasn’t whether I wanted this work.
It was: How the hell am I going to do this?
My business wasn’t making money. There was no safety net.
And yet, one morning I woke up with a calm certainty I couldn’t shake somehow, some way, this would work out.
I relocated to a larger city.
I went back to working full-time.
I committed to studying at a master’s-level intensity while holding onto every piece of my business I could.
It wasn’t glamorous.
It was aligned.
I wasn’t abandoning my life I was rebuilding it on my terms.
