Building a Network of Whole-Person Sexual Wellness

Building a Network of Whole-Person Sexual Wellness

Sexual wellness is an important part of overall health, yet concerns related to desire, pleasure, intimacy, sexual confidence and changing bodies often require more time and support than can be addressed within a medical or clinical appointment.

At Sensuality Coach Clinic, I provide evidence-informed sexuality education and coaching for adults and couples navigating changes in their sexual wellbeing, relationships and sense of connection to themselves.

As a Board-Certified Clinical Sexologist and Certified Sex Coach, I work alongside healthcare, mental health and wellness professionals as part of a collaborative approach to care.

My role is educational and coaching-based. I do not diagnose medical or mental health conditions, prescribe treatment, or provide psychotherapy. When a client’s needs fall outside my scope, I refer to appropriate regulated healthcare professionals and other qualified providers.

Who I Support

Sensuality Coach Clinic provides sexuality education and coaching for adults and couples across different life stages, relationship structures, and experiences.

My work commonly supports:

  • Women navigating midlife, perimenopause, and menopause, including changes in desire, arousal, pleasure, body connection, and sexual confidence.

  • Individuals experiencing changes in their sexuality following major life, relationship, or medical transitions.

  • Couples wanting to strengthen intimacy and connection, better understand differences in desire, and develop more effective sexual communication.

  • Single, divorced, widowed, or newly dating adults exploring sexuality, confidence, pleasure, and relationships in a new chapter of life.

  • Men seeking sexuality education and coaching around desire, sexual confidence, pleasure, communication, and changing sexual experiences.

Support is individualized, sex-positive, inclusive, and grounded in education, curiosity, consent, and client choice.

What Clients Can Expect

Sexuality coaching provides clients with dedicated time to understand their experiences, build practical skills, and explore what sexual wellbeing can look like for them.

Sessions may include a combination of:

  • Education — Building greater understanding of desire, arousal, pleasure, sexual response, communication, and changing sexual experiences.

  • Exploration — Identifying beliefs, expectations, patterns, and experiences that may be influencing sexual wellbeing.

  • Communication Skills — Developing language for discussing needs, boundaries, desire, pleasure, and intimacy.

  • Body & Pleasure Literacy — Increasing understanding of the body, sexual response, and individual pleasure preferences.

  • Practical Integration — Developing realistic practices, reflections, or exercises clients can explore between sessions.

My approach is person-centred, collaborative, sex-positive, and grounded in consent and client choice. Clients are encouraged to develop greater understanding, agency, and confidence rather than work toward a predetermined definition of what their sexuality or relationships “should” look like.

All coaching and education remain within my professional scope. When a concern requires medical assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, pelvic health treatment, or another form of specialized clinical care, I encourage the client to connect with an appropriately qualified professional.

Scope of Practice

Sensuality Coach Clinic provides sexuality education and coaching designed to complement—not replace—medical, mental health, or other regulated healthcare services.

My Role

Within sexuality coaching, I may support clients through:

  • Evidence-informed sexuality education

  • Desire, arousal, and pleasure education

  • Sexual and intimate communication skills

  • Body and pleasure literacy

  • Sexual confidence and self-exploration

  • Relationship and desire-discrepancy conversations

  • Sensuality and mind-body awareness

  • Navigating sexual changes through midlife and other life transitions

  • Practical exercises, reflection, and skill-building

When Additional Clinical Care Is Needed

I do not:

  • Diagnose medical or mental health conditions

  • Prescribe medication, hormones, or medical treatment

  • Provide psychotherapy or trauma treatment

  • Provide pelvic floor assessment or physical therapy

  • Diagnose or treat sexual dysfunction or sexual pain

  • Replace care from a physician, nurse practitioner, therapist, pelvic health professional, or other regulated healthcare provider

When a client's concerns fall outside my scope, I recommend appropriate clinical assessment or support. Where appropriate, sexuality coaching may continue alongside that care as part of a collaborative approach to sexual wellbeing.

Professional Collaboration

Whole-person sexual wellness often benefits from professionals working within their respective areas of expertise.

I welcome relationships with healthcare, mental health, pelvic health, and wellness professionals who recognize sexual wellbeing as an important part of overall health.

Ways We Can Work Together

  • Client Referrals — Refer clients who would benefit from additional sexuality education, coaching, communication support, or practical sexual wellness resources. When a client's needs extend beyond my scope, I refer to appropriate qualified professionals.

  • Collaborative Care — When appropriate and with the client's explicit consent, sexuality coaching can complement medical, therapeutic, pelvic health, or other professional care.

  • Patient & Community Education — I offer educational workshops and presentations on topics including desire, arousal, pleasure, sexual communication, midlife sexuality, menopause-related sexual changes, and sexual wellbeing.

  • Professional Events & Partnerships — I collaborate with clinics, community organizations, wellness professionals, and other organizations on educational events, panels, workshops, and sexual wellness initiatives.

Building a Stronger Referral Network

I value reciprocal professional relationships built around appropriate scope, client choice, and access to qualified care.

When a client needs support outside my area of practice, having a trusted network allows me to confidently direct them toward professionals who can provide the assessment, treatment, or specialized care they need.
